Slip resistance deck coating from Sikkens

Commercial and residential timber projects requiring slip resistant coatings that meet the Australian slip resistance standards, can be confidently finished with Sikkens Cetol® Deck Slip Resistant textured timber decking stain.

Cetol Deck Slip Resistant

Performing in the mid to high slip resistance standards in the Wet Pendulum and Oil-Wet Inclining Platform Slip Resistance tests, Sikkens Cetol Deck Slip Resistant is ideal for a textured transparent coating on exterior timber decks, ramps, stairs and walkways.

Achieving a high P4 in the Wet Pendulum Slip Resistance Test, Sikkens Cetol Deck Slip Resistant offers high slip resistance on surfaces that are prone to water contamination, wet weather or wet area exposure.

Sikkens Cetol Deck Slip Resistant achieved a mid-level rating of R11 under Oil-Wet Inclining Platform Slip Resistance Test, which tests products on an inclination where walking is no longer considered safe.

Sikkens Cetol Deck Slip Resistant is highly water repellent decking stain and is used as a finishing coat over Sikkens Cetol HLSe as it enhances the natural beauty of wood while providing excellent protection and slip resistance.

The tests were undertaken by Advanced Technology Testing and Research, with Sikkens Cetol Deck Slip Resistant applied correctly to Merbau: sanded with 80 grit sand paper, coated with a base coat of Sikkens Cetol HLSe and two coats of Sikkens Cetol Deck Slip Resistant. Both coatings were applied by brush and the final coat was allowed to cure for more than two weeks prior to testing.
